RICHBURG

The Richburg label out of Newark, NJ started business around 1969 and kept issuing 45s and albums for more than a decade. Fred McGriff was owner of Richburg and he produced most (if not all) of the Richburg output. McGriff was owner of the Clark Record Company in the years before Richburg. Richburgh was the maiden name of Fred McGriff's mother.
In the beginning years the spelling on the labels was Richburgh instead of Richburg. Somewhere between 115 and 121 the spelling was changed.
There were between 15 and 20 Richburg albums released.
