RAE-COX
The New-York based Rae-Cox label released in
the period 1962-1975 some excellent gospel music. The label was formed in 1959
Teddy McRae
and
Eddie Wilcox. Both
men were experienced musicians and arrangers in the world of Big Bands and
smaller R&B combos of the late forties and early fifties. They not only
released gospel but also some Doo-Wop, R&B and what else was in vogue in
the late fifties – early sixties. On their subsidiary Enrica McRae and Wilcox
relaesed two gospel 45s and at least one gospel album. The other releases on
Enrica are a mixed bag of soul, funk, blues and R&B.
The 45s and

find here are not complete. So all additions and corrections are welcome in
order to get this little piece of gospel history complete.
