Lewis was named after its owner Stan Lewis. Stan Lewis was a music entrepeneur based in Shreveport, LA who wasn’t only owner of Lewis but also owner of the better know labels Jewel, Ronn and Paula. Besides being an owner of a very successful record company he also was record producer and owner of a record store and studio.
