J&B Records
J&B was named after its owner James Bennett. J&B wasn't only a record label, but also a record shop based in Jackson, Miss. The record label was in business till the early nineties, the record shop didn't last much longer. Some of the latter day releases on J&B were also issued on CD or only on CD. James Bennett did not only have the J&B label, he also had Retta, Big Thigh, La Jam, MT, T, and Traction. James Bennett, besides being label owner, record shop owner he also produced many of the albums released on J&B. J&B, compared with most other labels at the time, kept the use of synthesizers to a minimum.
There where around 10 J&B 45s released.
