BLUE BOY
The Blue Boy label hails from Fort Lauderdale, FL. Florida is not the first state that comes to mind when thinking about gospel music. The best known gospel label from the 'Sunshine State' is the TK subsidiary Gospel Roots. We do know little about the Blue Boy label. It was distributed by Dit Dot Records from Pompano Beach, FL. From the back of the only album released by Blue Boy we know that Willie Andrew Brown was president of the company. On several of the Blue Boy 45s Willie Andrew gets the producer credits. Blue Boy released its small but high quality output in the second half of the 1970s.
