Atlanta Soul Liberation

ASL was part of Perfection Sound and owned by James W. Crisp. It was located at 2871 Jonquil Drive, Smyrna, Georgia. Perfection Sound operated as a 'for hire' studio from 1962 to 1994 with offices, studio and pressing plant all on site. Other labels using the Perfect Sound Studio were, amongst others, Mars La Tour and Atteiram both owned by Carl W. Queen who mainly recorded country and bluegrass.

Perfection Sound didn't promote the artists they recorded on ASL. That was up to the artists themselves.
