LLOYD CANNADY & THE FLYING CLOUDS
Lloyd Cannady got involved in singing gospel music through his father, Lloyd Sr who sang with the Lonesome Doves. In the late sixties Lloyd Jr. had formed his own group of Flying Clouds in Plum Branch, South Carolina. Several members of the group who where there on day one are still members of the group. Frank Gilchrist, Thomas Cannady, Thomas Morgan, and of course Lloyd Cannady Jr remained loyal to the group for more than 40 years. The group was also very loyal to their record company. From their debut on HSH through their albums on True Joy, they've always recorded for one of Hoyt Sullivan's record labels till he quitted the business. Lloyd Cannday & the Flying Clouds are still performing in the Carolinas.
