DYNAMIC HOLY SPIRITUALAIRES Of Laurel, Mississippi
The Dynamic Holy Spiritualaires were organized by Robert Cooley in 1972 as the Laurel Holy Spiritualaires. In 1974 they made their recording debut with a 45 on the Talk Of The Town label out of Jackson, MS. This 45 was shortly followed by two albums on the same label in 1976 and 1978. The second of their Talk Of The Town albums, "Lord Remember Me" was pressed on the Gospel Time label. It was this album that gave the Dynamic Holy Spiritualaires nationwide attention. They have recorded on 3 other major labels those being J&B, Wajji and Jet Records. The release on Jet Records was basically a re-release of tracks from theri previous two releases with the addition of several new songs. The majority of their recordings were released on the group's own labels, Joy Divine, Cooley Records and Cooleo Records. In 2006 their long time manager Willis Cooley Sr passed thus devastating the group. They continued on and released a CD in his honor, "We'll Carry On The Legacy". To this day the group still performs at local programs and community events, while still appearing in cities throughout the US. You can contact the group at their My Space Page.
