GOLDEN STARS

There are several groups with the name Golden Stars, some are Sensational others are Dynamic and they are from all over the USA. But who's who and which group of Golden Stars recorded for which label? On these pages we're answering those questions, at least we're trying to clear up some things. It is a work in progress and please feel free to email your additions, suggestions and/or comments regarding the Golden Stars.

About four groups of Golden Stars we've been able to gather enough information that they deserve their own page:

- Golden Stars of Greenwood, SC

- (Sensational) Golden Stars of Chicago

- Golden Stars (of Connecticut)

- Dynamic Golden Stars

At the bottom of the page we have a list of all the other Golden Stars of which we don't know anything at all. For all the other Golden Stars here is what we've found so far:

Golden Stars (of Bessemer,AL)

This group of Golden Stars were the only artists on the Golden Star label. The label's address was in Bessemer, AL. So it's safe to assume that there 3 45s were privately released on their own label. The only indication we have about membership of the group is that on one of the labels B.J. Moore is indicated as lead singer.

Golden Stars of Dry Branch

They released one 45 at Atlanta Soul Liberation (ASL) in the 1970s. Members are: Willie Hill, Thomas Wimberly and Willie J. Curry.
