The Goldenaires of Santa Anna, CA were organized in the second half of the 1970s. The notes on the backcover of their two albums don't give us much information regarding the membership of the group. Composer credits are given on their first album "Christ Wont' Fail" to Van D. Roberson, Dave Shirley, Ray C. Roberson and T.J. Roberson. It's very likely that these are the four gentlemen on our picture.

The notes on their second album "Live Over In Zion" give us a little more information. The same four names reappear, with Dave Shirley as second guitarist and Van D. Roberson as album producer and contact person for the group. Other names mentioned on this album are Dwight Gordon (lead guitar), Johnny Roberson (bass guitar), Thomas Montgomery (drums), Ward Womack (keyboard) and Ray Barnes (second guitar).
