CHRISTIAN HARMONIZERS

(BROOKS BROTHERS)

The four Brooks brothers were born and raised in the state of Mississippi. By their father being a Baptist preacher, they started singing at an early age. As they grew older they moved to Memphis, Tennessee. One of the brothers was then called to the ministry field. The three remaining Brooks brothers, Mazel, Leroy and Eddie added two more members and started recording. In 1965 their first 45 was cut at Stax gospel subsidiary Chalice in Memphis. It's their start of a label hopping career which got them releases on SongBird, Redi-Soul, Hummingbird, HSE, J&B, and Nasha.  It's difficult to get all their releases in chronological order, especially with several groups of Christian Harmonizers around. All additions and corrections are highly appreciated.
